TAIJAS STORY--
I lost a tooth on the right side of my mouth. Daces favorite thing is to look at my tooth. The tooth fairy came and left me $1.00. I went to the dollar store and got a build a bear, and it was a girl. (Who knew they had build a bear at the dollar store??)
MY STORY--
So I feel partly, ok all the way to blame for this occurrence because being the horrible mom that I am, I did not take her to the dentist until she was 4 yrs old, and therefore she had a couple of cavities with one being quite bad. Shawn or (Dr. Leonard) filled them but said that one cavity was close to the roots and the filling might kill the roots off, and of course that is exactly what happened. Needless to say she had to have it pulled. She was soo brave at the dentist office but lost it the second we stepped outside. It was a pretty traumatizing experience for her, but we got through it in one piece. Mom had to make a big deal about it at preschool,(thanks mom) and Taija got to show it for show and tell. Now she claims that everyone at school asks to see her tooth every day,and therefore has to take it in her back pack every day. She did however give Dace permission to get in her backpack and look at her tooth any time he wanted to. Bless her heart, and bless Dacers heart for loving her and being such a good friend. She is definitely going to miss him next year.

Yikes, I have yet to take Brenden to the dentist either. I guess I better get right on it. Shawn is an awesome dentist, great choice I have yet to feel any of his shots and believe me I have had many. I have bad teeth. It seems like I brush 3 times a day and floss each time and I always have something wrong. Way to go Taija your such a brave little girl.
LOl...how cute is that! I am glad that she has her tooth now to show everyone:) That is pretty cool that they have a build a bear at the dollar store. That is pretty cool! See you guys...Tiaja you are awesome for being so brave...I have to admit I wouldn't even open my mouth for the dentist to look inside.
Also glad to hear that the tooth fairy is on the ball at your house! Our tooth fairy's performance has been spotty at best.
Taija, what a big girl to have already lost a tooth! You are getting so grown up. I bet everyone at school was so amazed!

Wow! I have to admit the tooth IS cool and nasty at the same time. I just had to click on the picture to make it bigger. The roots are so long! Anyway what a brave little girl and mom at the same time. I am dreading the day that my kids have to go through that!
It's so exciting when they start loosing there teeth. I am the mean mom who gets a thrill out of pulling them out. My poor little Abby has endured some torture!
There's nothing like a $1 and a trip to the dollar store to brighten a kids day!
Those pictures are so cute. I love the new background too. She is so funny. I too did not know that they had a buid-a-bear at the dollar store. You got a steal of a deal. I cannot believe what a brave girl she was way to go Taj....
I love your new background. Taija, you are such a brave girl to have lost such a big tooth when you're only 5. Way to go. Channing would love to see your tooth when we come to visit.
And thanks for the tip...my girls will be thrilled to know that the dollar store has build a bear. That's great:)
